There seems to be this idea that because atheists do not believe in god they should never talk about god. Ok that would be a fair point if god was not such a large influence in the society we live in. If you are conservative and you do not believe in liberal ideals then would it be fair to ask you to stop talking about liberal ideas? No. It would be silly because you do not wish for a political belief that you do not share to impact your life in a way you do not wish. Atheists are no different. We fully realize we are the minority (though growing tremendously) and as such we have to speak out for our voice to be heard. We are not automatically assumed to be part of the conversation. We have not only a right to speak out but also a obligation. As an American I have a duty to ask that my voice is heard.
I tried hard not to go off on a rant in this video and after finishing I slept on it a few days and went back and cut out the part that was too “ranty”
